The Indian benchmark indices closed higher after the RBI cut the repo rate by 25 bps to 5.25% on Friday. The Sensex rose 447.05 points to 85,712.37, while the Nifty gained 152.70 points to 26,186.45. The top Nifty 50 gainers were Shriram Finance (3.04%), State Bank of India (2.49%), Bajaj Finserv (2.13%), Adani Enterprises (2.03%) and Maruti Suzuki (1.91%).
