Ministry of External Affairs said on Monday that India facilitated return of 1,777 Indians from Iran via Armenia and Azerbaijan amid Middle East conflict. This includes 345 fishermen who travelled from Armenia to Chennai on April 4. The Indian Embassy in Tehran also assisted two foreign nationals, one from Bangladesh and another from Sri Lanka, in their evacuation, MEA added.
