SC pulls up Kerala for ignoring order on elephant Raman
The Supreme Court rebuked Kerala for failing to document steps taken to protect Uttoly Raman, the state's tallest captive elephant, since its June 9 custody order. The bench criticised the state for citing assembly elections as a delay excuse, barred caretaker Krishnankutty from touching Raman, and sought a fresh medical report by October 12.
