Skywatchers can witness several celestial events in July 2026, starting July 8 when Venus will appear close to Regulus, the brightest star in constellation Leo. The annual Perseid meteor shower begins on July 17. The month's biggest lunar event, the Full Buck Moon, peaks on July 29. Two meteor showers will also peak overnight between July 30 and July 31.
