Scientists from CSIR-NEIST have developed a novel seismic model that tracks how earthquake energy moves through Northeast India's crust. By measuring high-frequency tremors, which cause major surface damage, the study reveals how the ground absorbs and scatters energy, paving the way for earthquake-resistant local infrastructure in North-East India.
