Referee uses phone-like device instead of cards to book footballers in Uruguay

A referee used a phone-sized electronic device to book players during a Copa Uruguay match between Nacional and Rentistas. Resembling a smartphone, the tool features dedicated buttons that allow referee to illuminate the screen with either a bright yellow or red display to signal disciplinary action. It's intended to simplify the officials' job by recording disciplinary decisions digitally.
