Jan Leike, co-leader of OpenAI's superalignment team, has resigned from the startup. His departure came hours after OpenAI Co-founder and Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever announced his resignation. Sutskever was also the co-leader of the superalignment team, which works to ensure AI systems much smarter than humans don't pose a risk to humanity.
