Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of north India including Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir as 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit Pakistan on Saturday. The earthquake occurred at around 1 pm. Supreme Court has, for the first time, set a three-month deadline for the President to decide on Bills sent by state Governors for assent. It said in case of delays, "appropriate reasons would've to be recorded and conveyed" to concerned states. The April 8 ruling has called Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi's reserving 10 Bills for President's consideration as illegal.
