Malware attacks on blockchain surge 440% driven by Chinese AI models
There's been a 440% rise in malware instructions embedded in blockchain transactions and smart contracts, averaging 11 cases daily from two earlier, Chainalysis reported. The increase followed the release of powerful Chinese open-source AI models with fewer restrictions on malicious code. Open-source AI models can be run independently, allowing hackers to remove safeguards against cybercrime.
