Subash Chand, a 70-year-old farmer from Haryana's Karnal district, ended his 44-year-old marriage with his estranged wife, Santosh Kumari, 73, after an 18-year legal battle. According to a report, the husband agreed to part ways in exchange for a settlement of ₹3.07 crore in permanent alimony, selling his prime agricultural land to fulfil the agreement.
