SoftBank seeks $11 billion via junk bonds for OpenAI investment

SoftBank Group is seeking to raise over $11 billion through what would be one of the largest junk bond deals to fund its investment in OpenAI, according to reports. The Japanese investment major has launched $10 billion of dollar-denominated securities and €1 billion ($1.1 billion) of euro notes. SoftBank has committed to investing around $65 billion in the ChatGPT maker.
