Ford Racing's new Mustang Cobra Jet 2200 became the quickest electric car on the drag strip, finishing a quarter-mile run in just 6.87 seconds at 356 km/h. The feat demolished Ford's previous EV record of 7.623 seconds set in 2024 by Cobra Jet 1800. The new 2,200 hp model comes with two custom-built electric motors and inverters exceeding 98% efficiency.
