President Donald Trump on Saturday told reporters that the US will reduce its troops in Germany "a lot further than 5,000". The Pentagon had earlier announced that it would withdraw 5,000 troops from Germany over the next year. Germany's defence minister Boris Pistorius said US' decision was "foreseeable", while NATO said that it was seeking clarity from the US.
