FSSAI issues warning about tiny stickers on fruit & vegetables
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has warned about stickers on fruits and vegetables. FSSAI said peeling off stickers and washing stickered fruits and vegetables may not always be enough, as adhesive residue can remain on the skin of produce and may be harmful to health. “Protect the family by peeling off...skin or...stickered area before consuming,” it added.
