Why has CO2 concentration recorded its highest-ever rise in March?

The concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) rose by 4.7 ppm in March 2024 against its concentration in March 2023, its highest-ever rise in concentration. The naturally-occurring El Niño has warmed eastern tropical Pacific Ocean, which influenced weather globally and led to drought. The drought and heat (a result of El Niño) means plants grow less and thus absorb lesser CO2.
