Venezuela became India's third-largest crude supplier in May, overtaking Saudi Arabia and the United States. Venezuela supplied around 4,17,000 barrels per day (bpd) to India in the first 20 days of May, up from 2,83,000 bpd in April, according to Kpler data. The rise was driven by refiners such as Reliance Industries increasing purchases of Venezuela's cheaper heavy crude grades.
