Congress MP Masood detained during Jamia protests, accused of 'inciting' students

Congress MP Imran Masood and SP MP Mohibbullah Nadvi were detained while attempting to meet students demanding restoration of Jamia Millia Islamia's students' union. The row escalated after slogans including "Free Kashmir" and "Free Sharjeel Imam" were found written on campus walls. The university's Registrar Mahtab Alam accused Congress MPs Masood and Imran Pratapgarhi of instigating students.
