India's finance ministry has exempted customs duties on imports used for nuclear power generation between April 1, 2019, and January 31, 2026, according to a government order. The relief applies retrospectively to eligible imports made before the Budget 2026-27 exemption took effect. The move supports the Centre's plans to expand nuclear power capacity under the Nuclear Energy Mission.
