Indian long-distance runner Gulveer Singh created history by becoming the first Indian to win two medals in the men's 10,000m at the Asian Games after claiming silver at the 2026 edition. He clocked 28:29.38 in the race, behind Bahrain's Birhanu Balew, who clocked 28:27.51. Gulveer had won bronze in the event at Asian Games 2022, clocking 28:17.21.
