Google reports negative free cash flow for the first time

Google's parent Alphabet has reported a negative free cash flow for the first time since going public. The firm said free cash flow for the second quarter stood at a negative $5.9 billion as AI infrastructure spending pushed its expected capital expenditure for 2026 to up to $205 billion. Alphabet's capital expenditure rose to $45 billion in the second quarter.
