BJP candidate from Bidhannagar, Sharadwat Mukherjee, carried a large fish while campaigning to counter TMC's allegations that the party would restrict non-vegetarian habits in West Bengal. "Lies are being spread against us...We'll eat both fish and meat...I have come out with fish today to stop this propaganda," he said. He added that he'll distribute hilsa fish if voted to pwer.
