MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world's largest container carrier, is planning a new Europe-Middle East service that avoids the Strait of Hormuz, amid ongoing disruptions in the region. The route will use trucks across Saudi Arabia and smaller vessels within the Gulf to move cargo. It will also include stops in Germany, Italy, Lithuania and Spain.
