PV Sindhu responds to journalist's 'elite athletes bleeding the system' remark over funding row

Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu defended public funding for shuttlers after journalist S Kannan questioned how long elite athletes would "bleed the system". She compared ₹1 crore for a Wimbledon first-round exit with around ₹1.9 lakh at badminton's China Open. "I can find ways to fund my tour. But what about the 18-year-old chasing her dreams?" she wrote.
