Anthropic buys startup run by only 1 employee

Anthropic has acquired Mithril Medicine, a one-person startup developing treatments for two rare forms of muscular dystrophy. Founder Cody Tranbarger used Anthropic's Claude AI to manage contracts, logistics and experiments with 11 external labs. According to Anthropic, Mithril advanced a potential treatment for one form of the disease from an idea to promising results in mice in under 18 months.
