Congress has promised ₹2,000 per month to women and ₹15,000 annually to farmers if it wins the West Bengal Assembly elections. Releasing its manifesto on Tuesday, the party also promised free education to women until postgraduation and the establishment of fast-track courts for their safety. It announced free electricity for farmers and a better procurement system to increase their income.
