Hackers hijack HBO Max Reddit account to spread malware via fake ads

Hackers compromised HBO Max's verified Reddit account, running 108 malicious ads over 48 hours. Using ClickFix social engineering, they tricked users into pasting malware commands into Windows or macOS terminals. Linked to campaign 'PasteSwitch', attacks distributed info-stealers, crypto clippers, and fake wallet apps targeting both platforms.
