Supreme Court Collegium recommended transferring Justice Lisa Gill of Punjab and Haryana High Court to Andhra Pradesh High Court as its next Chief Justice. She will assume office after the current Chief Justice retires, becoming the first woman to head that court since the establishment of the original Andhra State High Court in 1954. Gill has 35 years of experience.
