Bao Li, the giant panda at the Smithsonian National Zoo in US' Washington, DC, celebrated its fifth birthday on Tuesday with a special fruit ice cream cake. Hundreds of visitors gathered to watch the celebration and sang "Happy Birthday" as Bao Li enjoyed the treat. The panda had arrived at the zoo in 2024 for a 10-year conservation stay.
