The EU's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee approved a plan to launch digital Euro on Tuesday. The European Central Bank plans to launch the digital Euro in 2029, after a 12-month pilot starting in the second half of next year. The digital Euro, an electronic wallet guaranteed by the ECB, will allow EU residents to make payments online and in-person.
