A rainbow-coloured halo around the Sun was seen in Uttarakhand's Dehradun on Sunday with people sharing pictures of the rare phenomenon online. The halo appears like a rainbow encircling the Sun due to the sunlight refracting through millions of hexagonal ice crystals which are suspended in the atmosphere, said an expert.
