Swearing improves physical performance: Study

Swearing during strenuous tasks boosts physical performance by reducing psychological inhibition, a study stated. Scientists asked 192 healthy adults to perform chair push-ups while repeating either a swear word or a neutral word every 2 seconds. Participants who swore lasted significantly longer, showing greater focus, confidence, and reduced distraction, compared with those using neutral words.
