Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya revealed actor Shah Rukh Khan's contemporaries never considered him a star, adding that they'd call him 'hakla' (stammered) behind his back. "There were a few stars who told me, 'hakle ke liye gaa raha hai na tu' (You're singing for the stammered)?" he stated. Abhijeet added he "lost interest" in playback singing for stars "after that experience".
