Man tells tired 7-year-old son to wait alone at 8,200 feet for 8 hours, continues Mount Fuji climb

A Japanese man left his tired seven-year-old son alone around 8,200 feet up Mount Fuji after asking him to wait there for eight hours while he continued climbing to the summit. Mountain-hut staff later found the boy and alerted police. Police reunited the child with his father after five hours. Notably, Mount Fuji is Japan’s tallest mountain at 12,388 feet.
