DTC cancels weekly offs ahead of Sept 28 mega strike

Delhi Transport Corporation cancelled all weekly offs for drivers and conductors ahead of a threatened mega strike on September 28 by contractual workers. DTC issued show-cause notices to 70 drivers and suspended 15 others for disrupting services. Contractual workers demanded daily wages to be raised from ₹862 to ₹2,000, along with DA structure and payroll absorption.
