Actor Rajpal Yadav surrendered before Tihar jail authorities on Thursday in connection with his conviction in cheque bounce cases. In 2010, Rajpal took a ₹5-crore loan from a firm to make 'Ata Pata Laapata', with a commitment to repay ₹8 crore, but failed to do so. The firm further alleged that seven cheques issued towards the settlement payment bounced.
