Carlsen hands his POTM award to Vidit Gujrathi at Global Chess League

World number one Magnus Carlsen handed his Player of the Match (POTM) award to his teammate Vidit Gujrathi at Global Chess League (GCL) in Bengaluru on Friday. Carlsen said Vidit deserved the award more than him. Vidit defeated Daniil Dubov in a 96-move game to help defending champions Alpine APL Pipers beat FYERS American Gambits 9-7 in the penultimate round.
