Employee strength of India's top five IT firms, TCS, Infosys, HCLTech, Wipro and Tech Mahindra, dropped by 69,167 in FY24 amid an uncertain demand environment. HCLTech, which net-added 1,537 employees in FY24, was the only firm whose employee headcount rose. While TCS' employee strength fell by 13,249, Infosys' dropped by 25,994, Wipro by 24,516 and Tech Mahindra by 6,945.
