The Tamil Nadu Forest Department has created an extensive summer water network for wildlife, building 8,421 check dams and 2,734 percolation ponds, across forest habitats. The department has also set up 373 borewells and 115 open wells to ensure water availability. Wildlife movement and resources are being monitored through MSTrIPES, geo-tagged photographs, and real-time reporting systems.
