Painter Van Gogh's birthplace hosts world's largest flower parade

Painter Vincent van Gogh's birthplace, the Dutch village of Zundert, hosted the world's largest flower parade, marking its 80th edition. The event featured 20 competing hamlets, whose volunteers spent months creating huge flower-covered floats. Unlike motorised parades, the floats, reaching up to 9 metres tall and 19 metres long, are pushed by hand. Around 8 million dahlias were used.
