Flood sweeps away cash box in Nepal, 29 thieves break it open and escape with ₹57 lakh

A cash-filled safe swept away by floods in Nepal’s Rasuwa district was found along the Trishuli River near Belkhukhola, police said. Locals who found the safe allegedly broke it open and took out the cash. Police have detained 29 people during a preliminary investigation and recovered over 92 lakh Nepalese rupees (₹57.6 lakh) from their possession.
