Congress leader David D’Souza was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Karnataka’s Udupi district. D’Souza, former president of the Mudarangadi Gram Panchayat, was attacked while getting into his car parked by the roadside. CCTV footage shows a man sneaking up behind him, pulling out a gun and firing several shots at the Congress leader from point-blank range before fleeing.
