After Tamil Nadu government changed the official rupee symbol '₹' in state budget to the Tamil letter for "Ru" amid Hindi-Tamil row, BJP's K Annamalai said DMK-led government replaced the symbol designed by a Tamilian. "Udhay Kumar, who designed the [₹] symbol, is the son of a former DMK MLA. How stupid can you become, Thiru MK Stalin," Annamalai added.
