Himachal bus drivers union threatens strike from Oct 8 over corruption

The HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) Drivers and Employees Union warned of a statewide bus strike from October 8 if management fails to act against a Chamba Station Officer accused of extortion and financial irregularities worth ₹37 lakh. Union president Mansingh Thakur alleged the official extorted money from conductors and enjoys political protection despite inquiry reports.
