World number one chess player Magnus Carlsen responded after American Grandmaster Hans Niemann accused him of blocking his entry into tournaments due to a personal grudge. "I am not involved in choosing which players will participate here," Carlsen said. "Magnus avoids me pretty well. If he is playing a tournament, he will make sure I’m not invited," Niemann had stated.
