After Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan waved the Palestine flag following their qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 16, FIFA said it was allowed. "Flags representing all 211 FIFA Member Associations are permitted at FIFA tournaments, and supporters are welcome to display them in accordance with stadium regulations and the FIFA Stadium Code of Conduct," it clarified.
