OpenAI announced on Tuesday that it is shutting down Sora, an AI video generator, just six months after its launch of a stand-alone app. The decision also marks end of $1 billion ⁠deal between Disney and OpenAI that was announced nearly three months ago. "We're saying goodbye to Sora app...We know this news is disappointing," Sora team said on X.
