Paid for AC bus, got non-AC & dropped 10 km short; man wins ₹31,500

A passenger who paid ₹1,200 for an AC bus ride was made to travel in a non-AC bus and dropped nearly 10 km from his destination at midnight. A consumer commission ordered the travel company to pay ₹31,500 for failing to provide the promised service. The amount includes ₹500 fare difference, ₹30,000 compensation and ₹1,000 litigation costs.
