Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes passed away aged 25 on November 27, 2014, days after being struck by bouncer on the side of his head. Playing a Shield game for South Australia against NSW in Sydney, Hughes was batting on 63* when he was hit after missing an attempted hook, causing a cerebral haemorrhage. He had represented Australia in 52 matches.
