A Pune-based CFO narrowly avoided a ₹1.5 crore loss after falling victim to a "boss scam", The Indian Express reported. Fraudsters impersonated the company's Italian CEO on Microsoft Teams, tricking the CFO into transferring ₹56 lakh. She grew suspicious and stopped further transactions when asked to send an additional ₹1.5 crore the next morning.
