PM Modi announces Green Energy Corridor, eyes 900 GW non-fossil capacity by 2035

PM Narendra Modi announced the Green Energy Corridor Phase-III scheme with an outlay of ₹1.86 lakh crore, aimed at supporting 900 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2035. The scheme will deploy 50 GWh of battery energy storage capacity and create 51,126 circuit km of transmission lines. This comes as renewable-rich states such as Gujarat face transmission constraints.
